Today is the official start of the month of the Holy Rosary. It was Pope Leo XIII who dedicated the month of October to Our Lady of the Holy Rosary in the late nineteenth century. To pray the rosary is not simply to keep a great Catholic tradition but to remember in prayer the important events or mysteries in the history of our salvation. Each mystery of the Rosary is a meditation on a particular moment in the life and work of Christ.
