Experiencing God Everywhere

Other6 is a website that asks two simple questions: Where have you found God today? Where do you need to find God today?

The website (www.other6.net) invites its visitors to share their experiences of finding God in everyday situations. Some people experience God through liturgical celebrations, the sacraments and the bible. But finding God is not just about making contact with him through prayer, but also about experiencing Him in the most ordinary situation, good or bad. You do not have to wait for Sunday to be close to God, He is just as intimate the other6 days of the week.

And this is exactly what people are writing about and posting in Other6. Some people find God while gardening or watching a sunset or being with their co-workers. Here are a few examples of what visitors have posted:

Talking with a friend - Making contact with another sharing the gift of companionship.

My daughter’s love – I found God this morning from the loving hugs of my 4 year old daughter.

In my son’s eyes – It is my son’s 10th bday and he fell off his bunk bed, fracturing all bones in both wrists. His acceptance and willingness to talk about a “re-birthday” in the face of a horrible birthday was God love.

In my heart – I am struggling once again with the pain of depression and loneliness. I need to feel God stir in me, so I can feel renewed with purpose and strength. I want to taste the abundant life I am promised.

Everywhere – I see God in the sunrise – I hear God in the morning calls of the birds outside my window – I feel God in the wind. I know God in my heart, with each beat, with each breath I take. Thank You Lord!

To see my own beauty - I see beauty in everyone and everything except myself. Please Lord, help me to clear the fog in the mirror and see myself without such self criticism. Amen.

hi Padz! I have experienced God through the gift of friendship, like last week when a close friend called up and came to see me. We exchanged views on many things over a few drinks, and we drove around for a quick view of the seascape across the channel. We had bonded carelessly free than ever!I felt God’s love succombing me dearly! I’m ever so grateful!

Hi Father! I am a high school teacher in ICA, Greenhills – saw you last Friday when you gave a talk to the sophomore batch on Media Etiquette.  Just visited that site and I love how enlightening it is to see so many people seeing God in the most unexpected places and situations! :) Thank you for being such an inspiration!
