I am back! Well, not yet in full blast though. But I want to let my regular readers (and those who arrived here by accident) know that I have not said goodbye to blogging and podcasting. I will blog and podcast regularly starting October. Promise.

I am presently the webmaster of the General Chapter of the Missionaries of the Sacred Heart (MSC) and it has kept me from updating my personal site. The three-week General Chapter is very much like a small conclave – not only because it is held in Rome but also because the election of the MSC Superior General is its climax. The Superior General is the official title of the leader of all the MSC in the world. There are 75 Chapter delegates coming from more than 30 countries.

As the webmaster, I am tasked to update the website daily to report the day to day happenings in the Chapter. During the election of the Superior General I reported the events live. Thus MSC members accross the globe were able to follow the developments in real time. The MSC Congregation has three official languages, namely English, Spanish and French. The website also uses these three languages. Although it takes a load of time to complete even one report because of all the translations we had to make, I had fun doing it.

Another important reason why I have not blogged and podcasted lately is that I am also doing my thesis. When I am not doing anything for the Chapter website I am still in front of my laptop revising my thesis for my master’s degree in mass communications, which is due by the end of this month.

    Hi!
More power to you! We need more priests to embrace the world, in this case podcasts, to sanctify it. I hope you do a lot of apostolate in your webcast especially about the Eucharist and Confession as this Eucharistic year ends.
