You know that spring has officially arrived in Italy when you begin to see girls wearing next to nothing. And that’s exactly what I saw in the streets of downtown Rome today. I can only imagine what they’ll wear when summer comes.
Now that winter is past and primavera is here, it means to me that:
1. I don’t have to wear bulky jackets
2. Going to the shower is not a torture anymore
3. I can now open my window (not the operating system ha)
4. The trees will have leaves again
5. Flowers will be in full bloom. I took that snapshot of a margherita in our garden. Margheritas are all over the place. And I love it.
6. The sun does not set earlier than six in the evening anymore
7. And to top it all, we have a two-week school break. Beautiful weather. No classes. Everything spells fun.

I remember my first spring. It was so magical seeing dead trees/plants come to life!!! And it made me reflect on life. How often do we feel dead cold only to spring forward? How often do we spring forward only to get burned? How often do we get burned and fall apart? How often do we fall apart and allow our hearts to be stone cold? But then… no matter how cold-hearted we become, there is always a choice to spring forward again and grow. Just like the seasons, we constantly change too. And I realized that only when I learn to fully embrace the changing seasons shall happiness find me. And it’s on its way.
