Truly God never fails to bless us, but it is up to us to count our blessings. You have reminded us to do this and to thank God even for the sunset that each day brings.

With your long list, I envied most your mother’s text message of “ I love you anak“. Those were the last words that I received from my mother before she died and “mahal na mahal kita, nanay” were my last words to her. My mother and I seldom said these words to each other when she was still alive. Although there were no questions nor insecurities of how much we love each other, I guess it could have been much much nicer if we said it more often.

Counting our blessings is acknowledging God’s love for us and in return we should learn to say not only “thank you God”, but also “I love you too, Lord”.

To quote Abraham Lincoln: “And in the end, it’s not the years in your life that count. It’s the life in your years.”

I once had a great cam complete with different types of lenses and filters- even a telelscopic lens- but i wasn’t able to capture images as beautiful as these ones here! (i should get some photography lessons before i’d acquire a newer type cam, what do you think)

The Lord indeed is generous. He gives rain to good folks and sinners alike. If not for that generosity and mercy, who would ever deserve each rising of the sun? The splash of rain on your upturned face? The smile of a child? A relationship that is tested through time? Deserving or not, we experience these and more. But the real secret here is how we GIVE THANKS and PRAISE to HIM!
