Communication, Communion and Cooperation

It was announced recently that Pope Benedict XVI has chosen the theme "The Media: A Network for Communication, Communion and Cooperation" for the 40th World Communications Day to be celebrated on 28 May 2006.

World Communications Day was established by Pope Paul VI and it was first celebrated on 7 May 1967. The main objective of the yearly celebration is for the Church to make her own contribution to the orderly development of the world of social communications: a contribution of inspiration, encouragement, exhortation, guidance and cooperation.

In a Vatican press release, Archbishop John Foley, the president of the Pontifical Council for Social Communication, was quoted as saying that the first theme chosen by Pope Benedict XVI “underlines his own appreciation of the ability of the communications media not only to make known needed information but also to promote fruitful cooperation.”

Is’nt it just what your thesis is all about ?– the media:a tool for participatory communication/involvement among the masses.
well,it seems to me your dream is in line with that of the late Pope Paul VI and with no less than that of our recent Pope Benedict XVI.
    Coincidence ? i don’t think so !

Ang panagbayloay sa mga mensahe (communication) motagik sa panaghiusa (communion) ug panagtambayayong (cooperation) alang sa kalinaw sa kalibotan.
